724 judokas from twenty different countries took part in the Flanders Judo Cup 2016; quantity and quality guaranteed! In 2012, we successfully expanded to 8 tatamis.

In 2006, under the impulse of the Flemish Judo Federation, the city of Lommel, Judo club Agglorex Lommel and the province of Limburg, the Flanders Judo Cup was organized for the first time in its present form and location. The former Trophy of Flanders, which was founded in 1970, was modernised and brought to a higher level.

During the 11 previous editions there was found a positive trend in the number of participants and foreign delegations.

Last year, 350 judoka’s participated at the International Training Camp (including the Belgian elite judokas). This was an increase of 50% over last edition.
