Important game and tournament rules

  • The latest competition rules of the IJF and the Flemisch Judofederation are valid during the Flanders Judo Cup 2017.
  • Fight time:
    • U15: 3’
    • U18: 4’
    • U21: 4’
  • Golden score is applied after regular fight time for all ages
  • Kansetsu-waza and shime-waza are allowed for U18 and U21.
  • The judoka has to surrender by clearly visibly tapping off with hand or foot, or by calling out “Maita”.

Kansetsu-waza and shime-waza are NOT allowed for U15.

The use of kansetsu-waza or shime-waza leads immediately to Hansoku make. The judoka may however continue in the tournament.

Direct Hansoku Make due to bad conduct or forbidden techniques (other than kansetsu-waza and shime-waza) which put the opponent in danger will lead to immediate exclusion of further participation in the competition at the competition day itself.
